Robert Kreitler, CFP® founded Kreitler Financial in 1985. He works with clients to help them define and achieve their life-time goals and assists in running the practice. Robert is the author of the book Getting Started in Global Investing (Wiley, 2000), spearheaded the National Savings Rate Guidelines for Individuals (Journal of Financial Planning, April 2007) with Ibbotson Associates, and has written many professional articles, including What To Do With Clients’ Surplus Wealth published in 2021 by Financial Advisor Magazine.

In his prior career he was an expert on natural resource policy and worked for the Office of Management and Budget. He has degrees from Carleton College (Northfield, MN) and Yale University (New Haven, CT).

Robert actively supports education reform in New Haven and is an avid beekeeper, supplying honey to clients. He plays competitive squash and enjoys hiking.
